Course Objectives –

The main objective of this module is to integrate the current understanding of neurological function in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting the human nervous system. Emphasis will be placed on the neurological influences of multiple organ systems as it relates to neurological disease. The interpretation of information obtained from the physical examination will be reviewed as to ascertain the longitudinal level of the lesion as well as to provide the examiner with information for the application of treatment modalities specific to the individual’s neurological dysfunction. An introduction to Optokinetic mechanisms as a method to ascertain central lesions will also be discussed.
