The number and proportions of older adults from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds is growing and expected to be one-third of the population by 2050. As a result, more than ever, you are responsible to provide culturally competent care. Nanette Lavoie-Vaughan, MSN, ANPCP- DNP, completed a postdoctoral fellowship in ethnogeriatrics from Stanford University and will share highlights from her vast clinical experiences caring for diverse patient populations. An evidence-based cultural competence model will be integral to your own confident delivery of ethnogeriatric care afterwards!Â
