Rock Solid Kicking Volume #1: Kicking Essentials

Gemma teaches you the foundation to strong kicks. She begins with basic leg, ankle and feet stretches, and then introduces the proper technique for five basic kicks including front, round, side, hook, and ax kicks. Gemma includes detailed instruction for each kick that include proper chambering, extension, and re-chambering of your leg when executing a kick. She then demonstrates a 9-count kick exercises that is useful for building muscle and stamina. Gemma then shows you proper stretching techniques to prevent soreness in your legs. 

Rock Solid Kicking Volume #2: Advanced Kicking

Gemma begins this video with a recap of the 9-count kick taught in her first kicking video. She then instructs on multiple kicks, including information on angles, foot positioning, lines and finishing kicks. Gemma shows you jumping drills useful for improving the multiple jump kicks she teaches including the jump front kick, 360 jump crescent, tornado kick, 540, raiz, and swipe. She teaches the step-by-step process for each kick including detailed information on tips and tricks that help make learning the kicks easier. 

Rock Solid Nunchuks

Gemma instructs on some of the basic, intermediate and advanced techniques for nunchucks. She begins the video by teaching basics such as gripping, catching, stretching and figure 8’s. The figure 8 techniques forward, reverse, double, and side are included, along with how to integrate synchronization and intersection into your routine. Gemma then explains the more advanced moves including up-downs, across the body strikes, hand rolls and transitions, again including variations in each technique. She completes the lesson by teaching you an entire nunchuck combination form that uses all the techniques taught throughout the video. 

* Gemma Nguyen is a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and is a member of Team ProRank. She began her martial arts training at the age of six with Charlie Lee Karate under the Jhoon Rhee curriculum.
