Suicidal people need more than to stay alive. They also need to find life worth living. Stacey Freedenthal, PhD, LCSW, is a psychotherapist and consultant in private practice, an associate professor at the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work, author of the book, Helping the Suicidal Person: Tips and Techniques for Professionals, and creator of the website, Speaking of Suicide. She focuses her research, scholarship, and clinical practice on suicide assessment and intervention.Â
