The #StartingGood Virtual Summit is an annual free-to-access virtual summit presented by innovation agency and cause-crowdfunding platform StartSomeGood.
Over 11-20 May 2020, we brought together 30+ world-renowned social entrepreneurs, changemakers, and innovation leaders to talk about creating a lasting positive impact in the world.
This year, the Summit included action workshops, panel discussions, in-depth interviews and interactive experiences with game-changing social entrepreneurs, through which we aim to support, upskill and inspire the next generation of change leaders.
What is your PURPOSE?
What good will you START?
What IMPACT will you make?
What LEGACY will you leave?
At StartSomeGood, we’re convinced that we are entering the Era of Purpose. We see this all around us. In the demands from graduates for meaningful work, from consumers for quality ethical products and from investors for companies that combine profit and purpose.
2020 is our fourth year running the #StartingGood Summit and we are thrilled to be bringing you a stellar line up of over 50 changemakers, innovators, movers and shakers who are making the world a better place.
Previous Summit guests include Nobel Peace Prize winner, Muhammad Yunus, Clay Shirky, Founder of Donor’s Choose, Charles Best and Co-Founder of Charity Water, Scott Harrison.
The #StartingGood Virtual Summit is presented in five streams:
- INSPIRATION – Seasoned changemakers share their stories on the journey of entrepreneurship revealing their biggest learnings on their path to creating tangible social change.
- INSIGHTS – Experts open the lid on specific topics like community building and social change in a time of physical distancing, climate positive business, ethical fashion, impact funding, and social entrepreneurs contributing to health campaigns.
- MINDSET – Here we explore the ways in which effective leaders keep their head in the game, maintain their energy and focus, cultivate health and wellbeing for self and others, and avoid burnout.
- ACTION – These sessions are highly practical how-to workshops on the work of entrepreneurship including starting up and pivoting, purposeful marketing; recruitment and team culture; fundraising and financial management.
- #RESTARTING GOOD – Supported by the NAB Foundation, these sessions draw together funders and founders with expertise to help us recover and build resilience in the face of disaster.
