Simplified Dropshipping 4.0 Summary
Product:Â Simplified Dropshipping 4.0
Price to join:Â $497
Rating:Â 50/100
Do I recommend? No!

Summary:Â Simplified Dropshipping 4.0 is a course from Scott Hilse and overall I’d say it’s a mediocre course.
The price isn’t too bad but there’s nothing game changing or new in this training that you haven’t heard a million times before.
Also, Scott Hilse is the most typical Youtube Guru on earth and tries to real people in by flaunting his wealthy.
This isn’t the kind of person you want to learn dropshipping from.

The Truth About Dropshipping
Nobody likes dropshipping.
This is what a pretty well known Youtuber who used to do dropshipping recently said (he now does lead generation for local and small businesses).
It’s true too.
Dropshipping is a very empty, boring and stressful way to make money online and there’s much easier ways to earn 6 figures online.
Here’s dropshipping in a nutshell:
Find cheap Chinese crap on Aliexpress, mark the price up and market it on Facebook or Instagram.
You’re not improving anyone’s lives and there’s a lot of stuff you have to put up with as a dropshipper.
You’ll need to:
- Deal with customer service
- Deal with returns
- Deal with month long shipping times
- Have thousands for an advertising budget
- A lot of competition in most popular niches
A lot of people are ditching ecommerce for other ways to make money and I definitely see why.
Who Is Scott Hilse?

Scott “Clickbait” Hilse is the most typical Youtube guru.
Almost everything is clickbait, he flaunts his money (one thumbnail is him eating at a restaurant surrounded by stacks of money), and a lot of his content isn’t really informational.
Now does this lead to a lot of Youtube views and sales to his course?
Oh yeah.
To Scott’s credit he’s successful and makes more than 99% of people in the world.
BUT that doesn’t mean you’ll be successful if you take his course.
I find people like this at best put out mediocre courses and are WAY more concerned with making themselves money than others.
So while there’s some good information on Scott’s channel I’d advise against taking someone like this too seriously to learn from (they hype things up too much).
Simplified Dropshipping 4.0 Overview

Overall this is a very short dropshipping course and most of the information you can find for free somewhere else.
It goes over the basic strategy everyone teaches:
- Set up store on Shopify
- Find products on Aliexpress
- Advertise on Facebook
- Scale winning products
There’s really no other mention of traffic generation outside of Facebook which is pretty disappointing (people are doing well doing influencer advertising and Google Shopping ads).
Additionally, Scott doesn’t really go over how much he spends to get his results or how much his students spend to get their results.
Profiting $1000 per day is way different than spending $900 to make $1000.
The main thing I liked is you actually get to see the product he sold and ads he used to make sales.
Here’s a breakdown of each section:
Lessons 1 to 12
These lessons are about the basics of dropshipping and setting up your store.
You’ll learn about the mentality that makes a good dropshipper, creating all the legal pages you need, researching products, signing up for Shopify and more.
This is the kind of stuff that’s included in every ecommerce course and you can easily find this stuff on Youtube for free.
There’s nothing special or new here.
Lessons 13 to 24
These lessons are all about Facebook ads which is the only traffic generation really taught in this course.
Here’s what you’ll learn how to:
- Build a Facebook page
- Set up your ad account and Facebook pixel
- Creating ads
- Launching strategies for your products
- Analyzing your ad’s success
Again, this is pretty bare bones for Facebook and is the kind of training you’ll find in a million other courses or free on Youtube.
Lessons 25 to 32
These lessons go over how to determine which ads are winners and which are losers as well as strategies on trying to make losing products winners.
Additionally, you’ll learn how to fulfill orders on Oberlo and Silkroad and how to scale winning ads to maximize sales.
Again, very typical training.
Lessons 33 to 37
These are the last lessons of the course and go over smaller things like forming a LLC and how to outsource tasks to free up time for yourself.
You’ll also learn advanced Facebook strategies for products that get over 100 sales.
Bonuses
In the bonus section you get more Facebook training, access to a private Facebook group as well as access to previous Simplified Dropshipping editions.
What I Like About Simplified Dropshipping
Here’s what I like about this course:
Example of ads and products
Many people are very careful about showing their products and websites when teaching ecommerce.
This is kind of annoying.
Scott does show his winning ads and product, though, which is nice to see.
What I Don’t Like About Simplified Dropshipping
There’s way more not to like and the main things I dislike are:
Scott does clickbait
Clickbait and flaunting your wealth is a good way to get views and generate sales for your course but it’s almost always a huge red flag for a student.
You don’t want to learn from someone that’s immature and is obsessed with others knowing they’re rich.
People like this just care about their own money and make for horrible teaches.
Short course
Overall, this course is not thorough and is about 1/5th the length of other courses.
It kind of makes you wonder how successful Scott is with dropshipping. It’s clear he makes a lot from course sales but does he make a lot from ecommerce?
Only Facebook training
There’s a lot of different ways to get traffic if you’re doing dropshipping.
Facebook Ads are important but they’re not the only way.
Every dropshipping course should have training on using Instagram influencers, Google shopping ads and SEO.
Too Expensive
This course just isn’t worth $497.
There are courses that give you 10 times the value and cost half as much.
Simplified Dropshipping is an extremely generic and basic course. You can find everything in there for free on Youtube.
Final Thoughts
I knew what type of course Simplified Dropshipping would be before even looking at it.
All you have to do is look at Scott’s Youtube Channel and see that he’s just in it for himself.
There’s a bunch of these Youtube gurus who put out a bunch of clickbait ecommerce videos and videos about their houses and lambos.
While some of these people are successful (some just rent cars) they’re not people you want to learn from.
They’re immature.
And they’re only going to be able to produce courses that are generic at best.
You see getting views on Youtube and selling courses doesn’t translate to ecommerce.
If you’re going to do dropshipping learn from someone who’s more serious and who cares about your success.
Here’s A Better Opportunity
Dropshipping is slowly dying.
It was big for a while but people are getting tired of it and people are starting to catch on that you’re selling cheap Chinese crap.
