About the Actor

Dr. Ann Corwin has 25 years experience in parenting consulting and child development education. With a Ph.D. in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy and a Masters Degree in Education, Corwin has made it her life’s work to design and develop programs to ensure the health of families. Corwin has appeared in television on KCET – A Place of Our Own, COX, and call-in consulting with viewers. She has lectured extensively nationally to conferences of educational and health care professionals. In addition, her work has been published in Journals, Childbirth Instructor Magazine, and newspapers across the country. Known as an authority in her field, she has worked with national groups such as: Mothers of Preschoolers, Boot camp for New Dads, Lamaze International, Parents as Teachers, Preschools, Child abuse prevention agencies, Early head start programs, and First 5 Children and Families Commission. She also designed, “Toddler Talk” a series for parents and children ages 1-3 years old. The program teaches parents problem solving skills and provides a safe environment for parents to observe their children. Parents learn developmentally appropriate interventions for their children’s behavior. This is an ongoing 3 week program in Southern California.
